ANZAC Day was commemorated by locals and visitors to the region yesterday,

with the good crowds reported again for the dawn and 11am services across the area.

A very large crowd was in Robertson Park Mudgee at 11, and listened intently to the address by Major Geoff Jones (Retired),

who spoke about the meaning of the ANZAC spirit and how it has been carried on over the generations.

He also talked of the magnitude of loss in WW1 through the example of one family.
