posted Sep 8, 2019, 11:57 PM by 2MG Real FM
The Country Claymakers Mudgee Region is holding their annual exhibition titled 'Drought and Back'. The theme is very topical for regional NSW. It is about the extended dry and the optimism for a way back to the lush nest in the hills that is Mudgee. Some titles from the exhibition include: The moon holds water, Lush, Seeds, Drought landscape, Rain puddles, Drought Blues - driven to drink, Cornucopia, Rust. The exhibition is to be opened by renowned Gulgong potter  Chester Neale. Drinks and canapes will be served.

Opening night 27 September 6pm to 8pm, exhibition runs for 5 days only at the The Stables, 86 Market Street, next to the Visitors Centre.

All works are for sale. The group has about 12 members with their own studios. Each artist works in a different way, ranging from large sculptural pieces to delicate thrown ware and wall pieces. Some works are functional, some purely decorative, some both.
