Restrictions Easing Nationally And Locally

A range of Covid-19 restrictions will officially be eased across the state from today.

Under the Stage One Outdoor gatherings of up to 10 people are allowed, cafes and restaurants can seat 10 patrons at any one time and continue to provide takeaway services

Up to 5 visitors may visit another household at any one time, weddings can have up to 10 guests plus the celebrant and couple, indoor funerals can have up to 20 mourners and outdoor funerals up to 30.

Religious gatherings and places of worship can have up to 10 worshippers

Meantime, in line with directions from the NSW Government, Council will reopen Passive parks, Children’s playgrounds, Off-leash dog parks along with public toilets.

Lawson Park will also reopen to vehicles.

Member for Dubbo, Dugald Saunders has issues a statement on the decision that will also allow pubs and clubs to operate as restaurants as restrictions ease.

He says he’s grateful to the Premier, Deputy Premier and the leadership team for recognising the needs of regional businesses, and that the changes will make such a difference to some of our smaller rural communities, as well as larger establishments that can see a way to operate under these new conditions.
